JULY 14TH- MDS Interviews -MDS 3.0 Sections C, D, F, G, J, Q-Timing, content, scoring, and documentation of Interviews in the medical record
JULY 21ST- MDS Clinical Data - Sections B, E, H, J, L - Definitions, documentation, coding instructions and impact on payment
JULY 28TH- Functional Assessment Data Documentation MDS 3.0 Section G and Section GG for clinical staff, therapy and admissions
AUGUST 4TH- Clinical Measurements, Outcomes and Documentation Requirements - MDS 3.0 Sections J, K, M, N, and O
AUGUST 11TH- The impact of Diagnosis coding MDS 3.0 Section I on admission documentation, documentation of diagnosis in the medical record, assessment accuracy, PDPM payment rates and IDT documentation.
This six session virtual program will present the foundational structure of the MDS Assessment Process for the Skilled Facility IDT, Operational Leadership, Clinical Managers and frontline staff. Taught by one of the industry's most respected experts, the sessions will be candid, concise and interactive. These sessions will create a basic level of competency for all participants to better understand the structure and formats necessary for documentation accuracy and MDS data formulation.
Offered weekly in one hour sessions, the series will be a practical intervention to improve staff competency related to the assessment process and definitions. The sessions will have one hour of CE credit awarded by the National Administrator Board (NAB) and a competency certificate for those participants who attend all six sessions and complete the competency test at the conclusion of the programs with an 80% score or higher.
A unique, practical, quality educational experience that will improve facility staff understanding of the documentation requirements of the MDS 3.0 assessment process.
The sessions will include topics related to the overall content and purpose of the assessments, types and timing of data calculation, review of all sections of the MDS 3.0, definitions of terms and measurements for clinical documentation and the impact of data on payment. Each registrant will have the opportunity to receive learning materials and complete the competency tool for a competency certificate at the end of the six sessions.
In order to receive Continuing Education credits you MUST register. Those viewing alongside a colleague will not be eligible to receive credits.

About The Presenter
Leah Klusch, RN, BSN, FACHCA
Leah received her BSN from Capital University and continued graduate studies in curriculum at Ohio State University. She is the Executive Director of The Alliance Training Center, a nonprofit educational foundation, providing solutions in the healthcare industry since 1989. Leah is a speaker and trainer, consultant, and author, traveling nationally. She has also received her Fellowship from ACHCA in 2009 and received their Education Award in 2011. Recently she has also launched a series of MDS web-based programs for skilled nursing, rehab, specialty, hospice, and home health.
