Evidence-Informed Interventions & Functional Outcome Tools for Common Geriatric Conditions
Presenter: Ken Learman, PT, PhD, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT When: September 10, 2011 Where: Youngstown State University (Room to be determined) Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm The purpose of this course is to give therapists a practical evidence-informed approach to the evaluation and selection of common functional outcome tools in order to best assess the impact of rehabilitation on common geriatric disorders including total joint arthroplasties as well as general deconditioning and balance disorders. In addition, current trends in rehabilitation techniques for those common disorders will be discussed bearing in mind the common challenges facing clinicians today (reimbursement, time, and space constraints). This course has been designed for the therapist to immediately apply the information in the clinical setting allowing them to more effectively assess functional progress of their patients. |
